Wacky. Cory Doctorow and I finished Neil Stephenson‘s Baroque Cycle on the
same weekend! Read his comments for a good first pass at mine (I’ll write more
later, in my new and improved media library and review
section of kenzoid.com.) But everything Cory says there in the boingboing
review is dead on. The series has altered my perceptions of a whole hunk
of reality. I love it when an author manages that! It’s too rare.
Methinks it’s about time to read Eastern Standard Tribe…*grin*

about with the idea of a Myrtle Beach Blogger Conference, maybe in the spring.

If you use Windows, and you are a packrat like me, walk, don’t run…er…RUN, don’t WALK, to the Google Desktop Search website. This thing kicks. It may save my bacon at the office…it has indexed 56,000 emails so far, and now I can actually FIND things. Luckily, we have some cool options coming along in FOSS-land as well…

It’s great to play with things that are black and white, isn’t it? Much cleaner. That being said…go rent The Siege if you haven’t seen it, and watch it. If you have seen it…go watch it again. Remember, it was released in 1998. It’s simplistic, two-dimensional…and chilling. Go watch it before the election, why don’t you? I just watched it again tonight, and more than ever, my mind is made up about my vote.
