It’s “Podcasts I’m digging” Wednesday! I go back to the news/politics/current affairs well again today, but this podcast is Canadian. It’s “Day 6”, hosted by Brent Bambury. This show does an excellent job of reporting on events from both Canada (which interests me) and the US, and doesn’t come with a lot of baggage. I like seeing both discussion of important events in our northern neighbor, and US stories from an external perspective. It’s enjoyable, and I definitely give it a thumbs up!
Summer resolution Tuesday, so I do a bit of review of my earlier resolutions (spoilers, progress is so-so), and then talk about a couple of new ones. More digital media mastery! I need to a) improve my workflow with my (pretty awesome) scanner and my piles of paper, and b) move my DVD ripping license from my primary laptop to a dedicated ripping MACHINE! Happy Tuesday.
It’s meta Monday! I am adding some extra news, because we had some big events happen yesterday. But in general, I talk about my history with podcast apps (and dedicated hardware back before we *had* podcasting apps…or even smartphones!); it’s always fun to reminisce. Good times!
A bit of an audible today…I’m switching Sunday’s “what I’m watching” to today, and pushing “friends and family” to Sunday. Life intervened…*grin*. So tonight, I’m talking about a show that we haven’t quite finished yet (we will actually be watching and trying to finish as soon as this posts!)…Stranger Things, Season 3.
“Podcasts I’m digging” Wednesday!! Here’s another one I really enjoy (and even sometimes sneaks into the queue during DDOP); Cordkillers! This podcast is (surprise!) about cord cutting, but it has evolved into a general discussion about media, streaming services, and stuff people are watching. I find out about a lot of interesting content on this podcast, and I definitely recommend it.
So, it’s “Summer resolution Tuesday”. Today, I talk about my project to review, evaluate, and curate my various subscriptions (mostly, but not entirely digital). Everything from Netflix and Amazon Prime to Ancestry DNA are in the mix…let’s see how much money we can save!
