A quick update from the car; I had to come to Atlanta early for a class on Monday, so Charlotte suggested we leave on Sunday and treat ourselves to dinner at Battle & Brew! I’m all in on that! We’ll tell you all about it tomorrow…
Quick one this evening…I had a couple of ideas for podcasts, but I ended up talking a bit about Kenny Baker’s passing. It’s not killing me or anything, but it made me think about Star Wars, and my very early Star Wars stories. We’ll reset tomorrow.
Nothing too exciting today…I had a bit of a hectic day at work, so I decided to just play off of the sports (mostly Olympic) related posts I’d been hearing, and talk about my sports passions…mainly Duke collegiate teams. I *love* Duke basketball, but I have also found a place in my heart for Duke football, and this is my second year with season tickets for the football team. It’s a lot of fun!
On the road again…heading home today, thank goodness! After hearing some pet stories in the DDOP feed, I decided to give the origin stories of our various pack members, almost all of them rescues of various sorts. I love them all dearly! Check out my Instagram feed for animal photos!
Another travel episode…I’m doing my 4-1/2 hour “commute” to Atlanta again. I talk a bit about my Atlanta situation (finally selling my townhouse there), respond to Tabz about my own time in Baltimore, and thank Nutty for the great show reviews so far! See ya tomorrow!
A little switch this episode…I mainly reflect on David Jacobs’ recent Lavender Pony Show episode where he reviews his experience with computers and tech. I really enjoyed his episode, and I decided to describe my own tech story.
Day 5, and I’ve already fallen off the wagon! Weekends are my nemesis wrt scheduling a podcast, it appears…I barely made it on Saturday, and I failed completely yesterday. I was a day ahead, so I’m still running OK in the Dog Days, but I’ve got no buffer left. I’m hoping to fill that up again this evening, but for now, a quick post welcoming Amy Bowen, a mini-concert review for the Rock and Roll Geek Show, and a response to Mark’s mention of the Next Radio app for smartphones. More to come tonight, hopefully!

Woohoo….I made it! Today got a little out of sorts; I needed to make some changes to my podcatcher to prioritize DDOP. Changes that I already discussed on the DDOP Facebook group, but I didn’t actually implement. Doh! Thankfully, I managed to manually download enough of the Dog Days podcasts that I had something to reply to! Sunday will be better. 🙂
Day 3 of DDOP! My pre-scheduling of podcasts is going well and in fact continuing. So far, I’ve been able to keep up with all of the DDOP episodes, and I reflect on the notion of First Wave podcasters mentioned by David Jacobs on the Lavender Pony Show. I also express excitement about the theme of Justin Diehl’s Hiddennode. Good times! I look forward to continuing a back and forth with other DDOPers!
I threw a link to a couple of my old podcasts in…my first podcast, Walking to *$, and then also Episode 1 of KAZ. I will *not* be putting them in the feed, though. I listened to them. Ow.

Day 2 of the Dog Days of Podcasting…this one is a car episode. A quick discussion of the fact that my scheduling of episode publishing seems to be working OK, and also talk about DDOP Episode 1, by Michael Butler. I also make a commitment to become a Patreon subscriber to Butler’s Rock and Roll Geek Show! See ya tomorrow.
