Tonight is another Steve Jackson Games review; Awful Green Things from Outer Space! It’s an old school (first published in 1979) 2 person tactical combat game that is SUPER fun, silly, and one of my personal favorites. There’s some luck of the draw to how things go, but even that has its own set of tactics. This game is still in print, and I still love it.

Tonight I review Murder of Crows; it’s another publication of Atlas Games (that also made Cults Across America),and it’s a great “carry game”. Card deck sized, easy to pocket, 2 player version is fun, quick, and scales easily up to 5 players. What’s not to like?

A diary day, but a fun one! We took Gracie to Discovery Place Science in downtown…er, Uptown Charlotte (gotta get the nomenclature correct!), and a good time was had by all!

Happy Monday! Today is a diary entry, and a quick one to boot. It’s late, I’m tired, and we’re taking Gracie to Discovery Place tomorrow! I probably should get some sleep.

Tonight I review Onitama; it’s another quick game (15-20m), based off of chess, but constrained in ways that make it both interesting and fun to play. Definitely something we enjoy!

Tonight I review Twilight Squabble; a quick (10-15m) card-based bluff game inspired by one of the greatest wargames of all time, Twilight Struggle. It’s fast, fun, and great for 2 players, though it’s best if you have the background from the more complex game.

Tonight I talk about Unspeakable Words, a Cthulhu Mythos flavored word game (ie, Scrabble…ish). Make words, roll for Sanity loss, and hope that you don’t go insane!! It’s pretty fun, and works for all party sizes from 2 to 6.

Well, I had not planned on doing this, but I wax nostalgic on Episode 200 as I clicked my way through links on my website. So here’s a walk through the past of this podcast…yay for 200! And thanks to all my DDOP friends, both fellow podcasters and everyone just listening, for making it such a big part of my life!
