It’s “Stuff I’m watching” Sunday again, and I decided to brain dump a discussion of all of the superhero shows we’ve been watching recently: “The Boys”, “Doom Patrol”, and “Umbrella Academy”.
Happy to be back on track, folks, and welcome to “Summer resolution” Tuesday (boy, that sure does roll off the tongue!). Today, I talk about rescuing old digital media. I’m planning on both digging into some old hard drives for goodies, and also digitizing old home video VCR tapes. Fun stuff!
USB 2.0 Audio/Video Converter
(Unfortunately, I can’t find a link for the hard disk docking station I’m using…it’s a “U3 pluggable HDD docking station”)
A late entry for meta Monday, but better late than never! I was going to talk about the process anyway, and since I um, forgot my recorder, I went over both my regular process, and the “backup mode” I decided to try. Thank goodness for Auphonic!
So it’s “Stuff we’re watching” Sunday (I came up with a new name on the fly today!), and I wanted to highlight a great hard science fiction show that I’m watching (albeit slowly, on my own schedule): The Expanse. (and I was correct with my off cuff thought in the podcast; it has indeed recently already been renewed for a fifth season!)
Nerd project Saturday. I decided to go to the bottom of the stack for starters, and talk about the infrastructure underneath my latest project…Linode. Not only can they handle nerd projects like mine, however; they can also do stuff like one-click setup for Minecraft, Terraria, and TF2! Good stuff!
