I applaud both of you for sharing this invaluable information. For reasons that only Jeff Bezos knows AMAZON refuses to provide this functionality in their PC or Web apps. I converted a PDF for a software manual and was annotating it on the Kindle. Then I wanted to put the content back onto the PC so I could use dual screen, or maybe even copy and paste, to make a company guide to the software and to the manual. Alas, Amazon provided no means to do so, and when asked, promptly and politely said it COULD NOT BE DONE.

BOOHAH!

Done and DONE!

I've been playing around with the Kindle for PC program and came across something interesting. If you have the book saved on both your Kindle and Kindle for PC you can access your notes by copying the MPB file from your device to the folder you have linked with your Kindle for PC. There you can look at and edit your notes. At that point, you can copy them back to the device. I would suggest using a backup of your MPB file to avoid any accidental erasing of the information.

You can also do the reverse, edit the .txt file for you clipping and save it on the kindle, sort of nice to add quotes and notes that you want to reference on your kindle.

Send me an email at kkennedy@kenzoid.com, and I might be able to help out with the clippings conversion as well.

Wow. Less than 7 hours between me writing this and you finding it via Google. That is CRAZY. I agree with Andrys...you can get another copy; it's well worth reading. Let me check and see what the best available edition is, and see if I can help you out.
